Mental Health & Addiction

All operations are Complex Trauma-Informed and designed to be individual-centric, build self-esteem, resiliency, and focus on personal strengths and recovery. The program emphasizes individuality, ensuring that all feel seen, heard, and valued in their journey toward wellness. In addition to programming and support for mental, emotional and spiritual wellbeing, a gym, outdoor trails and nutritional education will be onsite offering support for increased physical wellness.

Framework

Trauma informed approach to treatment will be used as a framework through which other modalities will include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help address and reframe unhelpful thought patterns, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to develop emotional regulation and interpersonal skills, as well as Art Therapy to provide a safe, expressive outlet for processing trauma.

Clinical Support

The program facilitates referrals for psychiatric and psychotherapeutic care to address mental health concerns if necessary through medication management and holistic support. Offering onsite office space and collaboration with organizations such as NUVista Trauma Counselling and other community partners will ensure creative solutions to non duplication of services and costs.

Addictions

Individuals will have direct access to addiction and recovery counselling and groups in addition to peer support leadership for those struggling with substance use challenges. Community addiction partners will inform recovery models and support required for successful prevention and lessening relapse of substance use addictions. Research following.

Family and Social Support

Angel’s Crossing recognizes family and community reunification services to support the restoration of family and community connections where safe and appropriate.

Family capacity building services play an integral role in supporting individuals.
