Workforce & Skill Training

Our Workplace program works one-on-one with each individual to elevate their confidence and support them in overcoming multiple barriers to employment.

Workplace Skill Development

Skills needed to gain employment are taught, such as resume writing and interviewing, connection to training programs, career shadowing and entrepreneurship development. Volunteer opportunities are offered to build skill acquisition and confidence.

Workforce Training

Our full onsite restaurant and bakery program offers skill training in all areas of food service, culinary, hospitality and customer service.

Santa’s Angels Headquarters, providing Christmas support across PEI, will be available 9 months of the year as an event space for training, education, meeting, conferences etc. Event management, administration and catering skill training will be provided by Angel’s Crossing.

Entrepreneurial Development equips individuals with skills and knowledge required to pursue future business opportunities.

Landscape, Gardening and Property Management training will be offered onsite.

In addition: Angel’s Crossing collaboration with Reach Foundation ensures that all areas of interest in workforce development are addressed by increasing opportunities in mechanics, embroidery/promotional product creation and entrepreneurship within their soap making business.

Life Skill Support

Angels’ Crossing programs take a holistic, personalized perspective recognizing that each young adult has different strengths, challenges and aspirations. The range of life skills training opportunities are unlimited and can include such things as communication/ interpersonal skills, grocery shopping, cleaning, learning how to cook, meal planning, nutrition, maintaining personal hygiene, time management, budgeting, and financial management. Sustainability of independent successful living is more than a roof.

Our Life Skills program gives residents vital life skills training and support, based on their individual needs.
